Wedding Trends 2019

May 15, 2019
Charis' Blog

All in all 2019 was shaped largely by pictures on INSTAGRAM. Clients are spending up big on visual spectacles at their wedding such as triangular arches, pampas grass installations as well as balloon installations.

The most commonly used colour this wedding season was burgundy. This was followed closely by blush pink. Romantic scenes and soft textures have dominated this wedding season.

Candy bars are out and statement cakes are in. Yes, you heard me right. No more candy bars people!!!  The donut wall was also on the rise, but I believe this is a fad that will quickly die out. Couples are going back to the old ways of one cake, only this wedding cake is a statement piece.

Fake flower walls are in. Vin from Full De Bloom in Melbourne is doing beautiful silk flower walls which look very real. People are choosing to have them as an Instagram backdrop at their wedding, instead of a photo-booth.

Goodie bags are also a new trend. Brides and Grooms are spending up big on gifts for their guests. Who doesn’t love a gift right?

Statement shoes are a must for the bride. This year my brides have spent up big on expensive statement shoes for their big day. I love this idea, as you can wear them again.

I cannot wait to see what next season will hold!
